I have been wanting to use my new stamps and paper that I received from Laura over at Paper Addiction. I finally got a little bit of time so I put this card together real quick. Not much to it, but I like it:) Love the little snowman, isn't he cute? I used my watercolor pencils and blended for a little color and then finished him off with a little stickles:) They no longer have these items but they have much more to choose from at great prices!
Laura also has some great BLOG CANDY up on her blog... head over for a chance to win!

Smell the Coffee

Make sure to read all the way through, there is BlOG CANDY at the bottom!!

COFFEE... I just love the smell of coffee. Don't you think that it always smells better than it tastes? I still drink it though:) Ever since I got pregnant I have not been drinking any:( Oh, don't get me wrong I still treat myself every once and a while. I'm actually on a Chai Tea Latte kick, they are really good!
Today's post is a card for my sister-in-laws birthday, which was last weekend. October and November is proving to be a busy birthday card making two months! My son's is this next weekend then my mother-in-law. October was a couple of my grandma's:) Well anyways on to the card. She really likes coffee so I decided to use MFT's Hot Stuff. I participated in this weeks sketch challenge at SCS:) The cs is DCWV and the dp is Cosmo Cricket. I used my watercolor pencils and blended the mugs and then popped them up. The ribbon is from the dollar bin at Michael's.
Stop by My Little Stamp Shack to shop, shop, shop! Great deals everywhere!
Also a big BLOG CANDY ALERT! Suzanne over at Scrap Bitz is giving away some great blog candy, make sure to stop by and check it out.

What Can Brown Do For You?

Hope everyone had a good Halloween. We sure did. My son dressed up as a UPS man:) What can brown do for you? He was very cute! Although he would not leave his hat on.
I made this card for my great grandma, she turned 93 last week! The stamp is Sweet Moments by Hero Arts. I stamped it on white cs and used watercolor pencils and a blender pen. I used my Liquid Applique for the frosting and the cherry has some Stickles for some glitz. The layout is for the Beate's weekend sketch challenge, yeah I finally did one, just a little late in posting it:) All paper is SU! and the decorative punch is Martha Stewart. Hope you all like it.

We are still having a huge sale over at My Little Stamp Shack. Most everything is on sale! You must check it out if you haven't:)

Hope everyone has a wonderful week! And Happy Stamping! ~Carrie~

I used the Hero Arts set Playful Animals and colored the images with watercolor pencils and blended. The DP is SU! On the inside of the card I made it so the animals popped up as the card is opened:) A little ribbon and some brads... a simple and to the point card:)

We will be having a huge liquidation sale starting Monday October 20th. Don't miss it, you won't believe some of the prices!

This card I made for a co-worker of mine. I used Hero Arts Cupcakes. I also used the liquid applique to give a little frosting. The DP is Stampin Up!

Lot's of News!

Summer time is always busy I guess:) We had a wonderful time camping over Labor Day weekend. Once we got home on Monday my son started getting sick:( Over the next couple days he got worse and worse. He had a terrible cough, runny nose and a fever. So on Friday I took him to urgent care, since his doctor was out, of course. Urgent care told me he had a virus and to give him Tylenol and let it run it's course. Well Saturday morning (my 30th birthday) he was running a temperature over 103 degrees, so I called his doctor and luckily got a hold of her. She met us at the hospital and she checked him over. Come to find out he had croup. Ever heard of it? I hadn't. It is the toddler form of bronchitis. I have NO clue on how he got it. It's been close to 1oo degrees outside! Maybe the air conditioner in the trailer when camping?? I don't know. She prescribed him a steroid and some antibiotics, because the steroids could make him get a bacterial infection and he is much better now. He still has quite the cough and runny nose but the fever has past and he is up and about:) Back to chasing and throwing things at the dogs! So as you can read my 30th birthday was NOTHING like I thought it would be! But it's okay, I can celebrate at another time. My son needed me to hold him that day, so I did:)

Some good news, I have a new niece!!!! She was born September 8th at 10:49pm. She weighed 8lbs 11oz, big girl! There was some complications when she was first born, so she is in the NIC unit at the hospital. She is COMPLETELY okay now, they just want to monitor her a little longer. She had a pin size hole in her lung which is believed to have already closed on it's own now, thank God! Her name is Alyssa Lynn and I have yet to see a picture. Everyone's cell phones are dead, go figure and no one has a laptop. Arggggh! Patience right:)

For today I am posting a card I made for a friend/ co-worker of mine. Her birthday is this week, so I wanted to give her something sweet:) I used the stamp Sweet Moments from Hero Arts and colored it in with my Copics. I used Liquid Applique for the whipped cream and used a heating tool to make it fluff:) I used two different Cuttlebug folders for the background to give some texture. A little ribbon and voila a sweet card!

Last little note we are getting new items in every week so keep checking. Remember if there is something you don't see, just let me know and I can order it for you!

------------------------------------------------------------------

Edited to add: OMG, what was I thinking? I forgot some other big news. Pink Cat Studio released a new set today! It's called Christmas Kitty Plate #1. Check her out, super adorable!

Thanks for stopping by and as always Happy Stamping!

Stamps Are Not Just For Paper!

So I know it's been a while since I have posted:( I give you girls so much credit for keeping up with your daily posts, it's a lot of work! Especially when you throw kids in the mix, oh and a DH:) Some of you have multiple children and even twins in there too, WOW, I give you all the credit in the world. I am having the hardest time trying to divide stamp time, blog time, clean time, cook time, run business time, hygienist time, son time, husband time and then last but not least, my time, even though lately I have been lacking in that department! Well anyways I apologize for being such a slow poke when it comes to posting.

For today's post I had made these onesies for my new niece-to-be! She should be here any day and we can't wait to meet her. I used VersaCraft ink to stamp these images on the onesies. I then set the ink with a hot iron and VOILA one of a kind onesie! What do you think? I think she'll look absolutely adorable in them. I used a variety of stamps from CTMH, Fiskars, and Hero Arts.

Huge Sale!

I know it's been forever since I've posted... no it's not a "dead blog". I have just found my life more crazy than ever! I have lots of stuff to post I just need to get the time, which is hard lately! As many of you may know, I also work in the dental field and I've been working more days than normal which really throws a "monkey wrench" in my whole routine. But I did want to post a little something before we leave for the holiday weekend. We are having a huge sale at My Little Stamp Shack! Almost every stamp set is on sale so hop on over. We also have lots of new items including holiday stamps from both Stampendous and Hero Arts, and the new Cuttlebug embossing folders.

Next week I promise to post some fun stuff, I think my life will slow down a little:)
Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend and Happy Stamping!

Troubleshooting:)

Well things have been a little difficult with not being able to send and receive through my outlook program. Sorry the coupon was sent out a little late, but troubleshooting turned out to be more trouble than I expected.

For today I am posting an album I made for my husband for his birthday. I used my Cricut to cut out the D, A, D. Then using chip board I traced the outer right edges of the letters and cut them out. I glued some paper on from a Target paper pack and then added the D-A-D. Each piece of chipboard was a little longer so Dad was spelled out:) I had about 3 sheets of chipboard between each letter decorated with pics of my husband and son. The outside I added some screw brads, I just love those things! To put the book together I used my Bind-It-All... love that thing too! I added ribbon to the wire to finish it. My husband loved it:)
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and Happy Stamping!

Monkey Business & A Sale!

Another blue sky day in Northern California:) So glad the smoke has lifted for the most part. Today's post I am sharing some more special things I did for my sister-in-laws shower this past weekend. I made her shower favors using a stamp that I first saw on Katie's blog... thanks Katie:) They are from Clear Dollar Stamps and are just perfect for what I wanted to do. The set is called Too Sweet. I used Avery labels and stamped two of the label designs with orange and green inks and then in the middle stamped "It's a girl" in the area provided. Then wrapped these labels around yummy Hershey nuggets. I placed four nuggets in 4X6 baggies, 50 of them! For the top part of the favor I used my Cricut machine and my Accent Essentials cartridge to cut out ovals and scalloped circles. I printed the sentiment out on my computer. I folded the ovals in half, stapled them to the bag and popped up the scalloped circles and voila party favors:)

So for all of you that can bake and decorate yummy treats I was always wanting to give it a try so I did! I made a monkey cake using a Wilton cake mold... cheating a little:) But I decorated the whole thing myself, little stars, leaves, everything:) And I loved the way it turned out. It took me about 5 hours but was worth it! Man my hand hurt afterwards though, I give cake decorators a lot of credit, WOW! What do you think, you like?

Last but not least!!!! NEW HERO ARTS WILL BE HERE SOON! My Little Stamp Shack will be getting a lot of new product in for the winter season. I know, Christmas is right around the corner, CRAZY! So to get ready for new product we are having a SALE for one week!!!! Get 20% off your entire order until July 29th. Spread the word:) See website for details.

Okay, until next time have a great day and Happy Stamping!

Full Bloom

Well another event filled weekend is over:) My sister-in-laws shower turned out great! We had a great time and she got a lot of great gifts for her baby girl. Today I'm posting another card that I did when my girlfriend Kat was up a couple weeks ago. You know those cards that take forever because your creativity is missing at the moment you need it! Well that was this card. It took me hours! My girlfriend was laughing at me saying "finish it already!" It turned out cute though:) I love MFT stamp sets. I want them all! I used Can Ya' Dig it for this card. For the background paper I used Swiss Dots embossing folder and the ribbon and brads are from Michaels. I colored her hat and the flowers with my Copics and I added a little glitter with some stickles to finish.

Hope everyone had a good weekend and Happy Stamping!

Well good news the fire is about 70% contained... YEAH! Hopefully this will be the last time we will ever be evacuated. I have to say I'm glad I went though it though. It made realize the important things we needed to take with us and that I need to have better organization when it comes to these items. So I will work on that:)
Today I'm posting a card that I made when my girlfriend Kat was up. I used her PTI set Green Thumb. Love Love It! Doesn't it look so yummy:) I stamped the strawberries on an oval nestie and accented it with stickles then popped it up. I used a ribbon from the dollar bin at Michaels, with strawberries...perfect match:) The DP is from a paper pack from Target I got awhile back and I stamped the rest of the background with the little strawberries. I like the way it turned out what do you think?
A little note about PTI stamps... The quality of their clear stamps is WONDERFUL! If you have not purchased any you should head over and get some they truly are great!
Have a great day and Happy Stamping!

Go Away Fires!

I am so sick of all these wildfires! We are yet again under evacuation for another wildfire that is threatening the east side of Paradise. It is not mandatory yet for our area, we are currently under Precautionary Evacuation. So we have all of our important papers and pictures and items that can't be replaced loaded in our truck ready to go. The smoke and ash is the worst I've ever seen it. The air quality control said that our area here in Paradise is hazardous... GREAT! I just want to pack up and go to the ocean! For anyone else that is battling what we are going through our thoughts and prayers go out to you! I will try to keep you updated. Hope everyone is doing well. And I want to give a huge THANKS to all the firefighters, volunteers, heavy equipment operators and law enforcement that have been trying to save out little community! You are all amazing!

So Kind!

I tell you I just love getting mail:) Especially when it is from a fellow blogger and a great customer! Katie sent me this cute Billy card (she knows how much I like Billy) and it just made my day! So thank you Katie you are so kind:) She does amazing work so stop by her blog.

Happy Stamping!

Fun Week!

This week was a busy week, but it was FUN! My girlfriend Kat came up from So. Cal and we stamped all week! We did a lot of different projects, some old and some new:) I will slowly be posting them over the next couple weeks. I am posting some cards that I made for my husbands birthday. His birthday was on the 4th of July, good old firecracker baby:) Unfortunately we did not get to spend it with him:( He is working on the fires that are still burning up here! He's working hard though:)

For the cards. The first one I used a CTMH stamp set of my girlfriends called July Word Puzzle:) It is a 6 x 6 card, which I usually don't do but hey I'm up for anything:) The second card I used Billy. I thought his little super hero pose was perfect for a card from our son:) I had to add the two little side kick dogs because we have two chihuahuas:) I colored them in using my Copics. The sketch is from Jen over at I {heart} 2 Stamp. The paper on both cards is from a DCWV Glitter paper pack I bought at Joanns. I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe 4th!

Happy Stamping!

A Big Thanks!

I just wanted to give Laura a BIG THANKS! She has been so sweet to me and a true inspiration. She also sent me a little something in the mail which was such a surprise:) I had asked her how she made one of her little bags and she sent it to me with a little card:) Made my day, so thanks again Laura for everything!

Time Off!

Sorry I've been out of the blogging world lately. We still have so many fires burning around us due to all the lightning strikes last weekend:( Not to mention the fires, I'm planning my sister-in-laws baby shower that's in a couple of weeks and WOW it's a lot of work. Well I'm making it a little harder than it needs to be but it's the fun kind! I made all the invitations and I'm making all the party favors and much more fun stuff that I think she will appreciate. For the invitations I did a gate fold card. I used SU! Certainly Celery and Apricot Appeal as my base colors and I used a DP by Colorbok called Sage and Yellow Stripe. I used my oval nesties and scalloped nesties to pop up my centerpiece that had my cute little animals stamped on:) For the stamped images I used Playful Animals by Hero Arts. My sister-in-law is doing an animal theme for the baby room so this stamp set was perfect. I stamped the image with Ranger Ink and colored them in with watercolor pencils and then blended with my blender pen. The Baby Shower sentiment is from a Fiskars set I bought a long time ago. I stamped the DP with the banana leaf... I think it's a banana leaf:), and did the same to the inside of the invite with all the information. I really like the way they turned out and she was so surprised when she got hers in the mail, she loved it! That makes it all worth it:)

Hopefully it won't take me this long to post again:) Have a wonderful day and as always...Happy Stamping!

Celebrate A Little Late:)

I know it's been awhile since I've posted, but sometimes life gets in the way of stamping. My son has a double ear infection and a virus! Poor little guy has a terrible cough, runny nose and a fever since Sunday. I took him to the doctor yesterday and his fever had come down but he still had everything else including the ear infections... that's why he wouldn't put his head on my shoulder:) They gave me antibiotics to fight the ear infections and then I just give him my love for the virus and a little Tylenol if he seems to need it. Well so anyways this is that reason for no stamping and no posts:( Also my reason for getting my nephews birthday card in the mail late. This is the gatefold card I made for his 13th birthday. The paper is from a paper pack I got at Walmart forever ago and can't remember the name, sorry. I stamped it with For Him by Stampendous, this ones on sale until Sunday. We got some new Stampendous sets in, go check them out, cute ones for 4th of July. Back to the card, I stamp the footballs on watercolor paper and with a blending pen and Vintage Photo by Ranger Ink colored them in. I cut them out and popped them up. I did the same for the little sentiment. I used my Cricut Schoolhouse Platin to cut out the 13 and popped it up on my oval nesties:) Add some $$ and Voila I have a birthday for my nephew:) Hopefully my son will start to feel better so I can get some more stamping done.

Also don't forget about Dress Up Billy who is arriving on June 12th... you can email me if you want to be on the waitlist. I will do a post this Friday for the giveaway!!! So spread the word:)

Happy Stamping!

Keep checking in, I'll let you know details soon:)
Happy Stamping!

DAD!

Father's day is right around the corner so I made this little card using the Billy set from Pink Cat Studio. He's pretty simple, I colored him in with my Copics and then circle punched him out. I used some yarn for his rope and I added a couple star brads to finish the card. I love this set there are so many possibilities. Did you hear, she's working on a dress up Billy!!! So excited:)

This is a photo album that one of my customers special ordered for her daughter:) I like the way it turned out, what so you think? All baby girl! This album holds 50 4 x 6 pictures.

Just trying my new signature:)

Laundry!

I hope everyone had a great Memorial weekend and safe one too! My family and I went to Southern California to spend the weekend with my husbands family. It was a lot of fun but the weather was yucky! No sun, just a lot of clouds, wind and one day it was pouring rain. But overall we had a wonderful time. I spent one of the days with my good friend Kat, check out her blog she does great work! We spent most of the day going through her scrap shack. She has a tough shed that she made into her scrap room and it is so adorable! So I was in HEAVEN! She has pics on her blog that you can view I'm sure you'll be a little jealous:) I know I am:)
So we got home last night and now today it's clean up time. Laundry, laundry and more laundry! I am hoping to get some cards done today, maybe even a little scappin' done, cross my fingers:) Have a wonderful beginning of the week.

Bee Free!

Well thank goodness it is cooling down! It's been so hot here lately I haven't wanted to do anything. Today's post, I'm showing a couple different cards. The first is for 4th of July:) What a great holiday, plus its my husbands birthday! So here it is ~bee free~. Isn't this little bee the cutest. He is new from Stampendous, along with the bee free sentiment. I colored him in with my slim collection of Copic Markers:) and added sparkle with my glitter pen. I don't know what the paper is:( I've had it for years and thought the scraps were perfect for this card... so never throw your scraps away! I finished the card with some ribbon and a star brad. He is just so cute:)

My next card I made for my dad. He has a tenant that just lost her mom so he asked me to make a sympathy card to give to her.

I used SU! Fall Flowers DP. For the sentiment I used MSE! Sympathy Cards Sentimental Rubz. I just love those Rubz, they are so easy to use and you have a instant sentiment that looks great. The flower is by Heidi Swapp. It was pink, but I painted it with my Making Memories light blue paint, let it dry and then used my CTMH liquid glass (I got from my good friend Kat) and covered with glitter. After letting that dry for quite some time I added a white foam flower by Petaloo that I got over at PSB and attached it with a black brad. I really like the way it turned out. I need to use altered chipboard more often! It really adds to a project. Again finishing the card off with some white ribbon. Using the MSE! Rubz again, the inside of the card reads:

In the picture it looks crooked but it's not on the actual card:) I'm not the best photographer!

I may post later today, I'm working on another photo album for someone:)

Have a wonderful day and Happy Stamping!

Sprinkled With Fun!

Today I had one too many cupcakes, so I thought this card was perfect. I did a mini Farmer's Market today:) It was fun but HOT! It has been close to 100 degrees all week:( It's May, not June! Anyways others brought food to sell, including the cupcakes:) There was jewelry, aprons, scarfs... bunch of stuff. I was invited to sell my cards and albums, plus my stamps. It was a lot of work but worth it. I would do another one, especially if it was a craft orientated crowd. So this card I used Hero Arts Cupcake set. Using SU! Cutie Pie paper, I sewed a zigzag around the edges and straight seam under the cupcakes. The cupcakes were colored with my Copics:) I think I have about 10, but that's just because I won 6 of them from Cami:) Thanks again! I finished it off with some buttons. I hope your weekend was sprinkled with some fun!
Thanks for stopping by, Happy Stamping!

Missing!!!

Sorry I've been missing in action!! So what has been keeping me busy? My friend asked me to make a scrapbook inspired by the Tiffany & Co. gift box. So I went to the website first to see what she wanted, looked pretty easy. Well it turned out to be more work than I thought. The paper I bought first was too thin to Modge Podge onto my cardboard cover, it left way too many wrinkles. The second paper that I bought worked great but was hard to manipulate the way I wanted it at times since it was a thicker paper. So I was able to finish it last night, whew, finally! I like the way it turned out though... what do you think? Here is the inspiration a Tiffany gift box, and here it my interpretation:)

For the cover using cardstock I covered a piece of 9 1/2 x 11 inch cardboard with Modge Podge and adhered the cardstock. I folded it under the corners like wrapping a present. I then cut a piece of same color of cardstock for the inside of the cover and adhered it with Modge Podge. I then let it dry. I made the back cover the same way. Once dry I Modge Podged the entire cover front and back with a good amount of Modge Podge to give it a glossy look. After letting that dry for several hours, I punched three holes using my Crop-a-dile, to line up with the page inserts. To decorate the front cover I used a 2 inch white ribbon and wrapped it just like you would a present and tied it in a bow. I used glue dots to make it stay nice and pretty:) I used book rings to hold the book together and tied some 1/2 inch white ribbon on each ring for an added touch. The first page reads who it's for, the date and who it's from in a pretty font from my computer:) The inside holds 25 top loading scrapbook pages for her to place her pictures from her shower and to decorate as she wants. You can't have a gift without a greeting card! So I made a 5 x 5 inch card mimicking the album. The front of the card reads "it's a shower for you". The inside reads "a special day for you". I stamped both using my CTMH Special Days set. I made an envelope using matching cardstock and to close it I included a white bow to keep it shut:)Hope everyone has had a good week:) And has a even better weekend!

Happy Stamping!
