Boo Boo:(

My son is going through a huge boo boo phase:( It seems everyday he is getting another bump or bruise. Hopefully he won't be accident prone, but that seems to be the words of the day lately. Exciting news we got in a new shipment of Hero Arts Sparkle Clear stamp sets, very cute! We should be getting our shipment of Pink Cat Studio stamps any day now so keep checking! Remember April is almost over so if you need to use that 40% off coupon head on over:) And make sure to sign up for our newsletter to receive Mays 40% coupon code.
I'm posting a few Mother's Day cards today. It seems like a have a ton to make, which is good, all my grandmothers are still living and a great grandmother:) My husband has a couple on his side too, then there are Aunts, and of course my mom and mother-in-law. Whew, that's a lot! All amazing moms and one soon to be! I need to get busy and finish the rest, so here are these ones.
Lovin' the Billy stamp set. I made this one to give to my mom from my son. Hope she likes it. The paper is Cutie Pie by SU! Got it from Joann, a wonderful consultant:) I colored little Billy and his pet frog in with my Copic Markers that I won over at Cambria's blog:) Thanks Cami!
These two cards were made with Graphic 45 design paper which I got over at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique (PSB) of course:) Starting with the one on the left. I made this one for my sister-in-law in So. Cal. Sorry about the finger, I couldn't get the picture right. The flap wanted to stick out so I had to hold it. The scalloped edge is not crooked even though it looks that way:( The stamp set is Garden Box Set by Stampendous. Which I stamped with Stazon Timer Brown ink and then colored in with my Copics:) I added some glitter and ribbon to finish it off. The inside of the card reads Happy Mother's Day.
The card for my mom was made as I said, with Graphic 45 paper. No stamping on the front of this one, which is rare for me, but I wanted to do something a little different. I stitched around the edges with my Janome. The flower is by Prima, again from PSB, and accented with Making Memories gemstone brads. The ribbon is Offray from Joann's and then I printed out the sentiment from my computer onto vellum.
Well I hope everyone has a non accident prone day:) Enjoy!
Happy Stamping:)

Yum!

Okay I've had a BIG sweet tooth lately... maybe that's why I love this Cupcake set so much from Hero Arts. This card was fairly easy to make. I stamped the cupcake image with Stazon ink and using a sponge dauber, I tapped it onto a Versa Color ink pad, Canary and lightly tapped onto the stamped image for the cupcake wrapper, used the same technique with Versa Color, Scarlet for the top of the cupcake. For the frosting I applied Red Liquid Applique and topped it with glitter, I then heated it with my heat tool to make it puff up:) I added a red button for the cherry and finished it with some ribbon. I stitched around the edges of the paper, which is Stampin Up! Cutie Pie, fits well with the cupcake YUM! Hope you like:)

Happy Stamping!

Howdy Partner!

Hi y'all!
Gold Nugget Days are this weekend here in Paradise, it's probably the biggest event every year for our little town. So this is where the inspiration came from. The stamp sets are from Pink Cat Studio. I used the Billy Plate #1 for the main image and then used the Background Plate #4 for the Yee Ha background. We should have our shipment in soon, so start making your shopping list. The paper is by Cosmo Cricket and Creative Imaginations, I picked them up over at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique:)
Until next time, Happy Stamping!

Baby Boy

Good Afternoon:)

My girlfriend is having a baby shower this weekend so I put together a little gift set for her and baby Jacob. I made a small photo album that holds 40 pictures and a cute little onesie card. The card is inspired by Lauren Meader, she has a great tutorial. To make the photo album I cut out two pieces of cardboard to fit a little larger than the photo inserts. I spread a layer of Modge Podge and adhered the paper to the cardboard. I then folded the under side of the cardboard like a present to make nice corners. I then finished the inside of both cardboard covers with a piece of matching card stock. I let the Modge Podge dry for a couple hours. I spread a thin layer of Mogde Podge over the entire cover and back cover to give it a glossy finish. I attached the cover and back cover to the photo inserts using book rings. I finished the cover with some buttons, stamp, cute little picture and tied some ribbons on the rings.

I had fun making this little set for her. Enjoy and happy stamping!

Zoology:)

Hello everyone!

Well for the past couple days I've been down because of my allergies... yuck! This year is really bad. I took some of that Claritin-D and WOW it made me feel like I was on some kind of weird drug:( I'm never taking that again!

I made a few cards with the Technique Tuesday set Zoology. There is so many cute little animals on this set and neat little sentiments to do with:) I had to use the giraffe first because we went out on the lake on Sunday and it's been way to long, so I made this card with that in mind. My husband went wake boarding...crazy, I observed:)

I'm bananas about you... love the monkey, isn't he cute (or she). I used Fancy Pants Designs for the paper and finished it off with some ribbon from Micheals.

See ya later, alligator... and the inside reads, After while crocodile! The paper is K & Company and I used some Making Memories eyelets and raffia.

This set includes so many more stamps! Please go check it out. Zoology by Technique Tuesday, click here:)

Hope everyone has a stampin good day!

Until next time,

~Carrie~

Dental Talk

Hi everyone!

Beautiful day here in Paradise! It is suppose to be 80 by this weekend, WOW! Time for shorts. Although I wouldn't want to hurt any eyes... my legs are scary white! Thank goodness for tanning lotion:)

The card that I am posting today is for one of the dentists I work for, GREAT guy! He sent me and two other gals to an Invisalign meeting in Sacramento last Friday. It is amazing to me how they can move the teeth without having metal throughout the entire mouth:) If you are a teen or adult that has never liked your smile because your teeth aren't straight, go to your dentist and ask about Invisalign! It is amazing, and it usually only takes a year to year and a half. I am not affiliated with Invisalign, I just have seen the results and I know it works! I'm even going to do it:) I was the one who never wore their retainers after braces... you know that person right:) So unfortunately my teeth have shifted, so Invisalign is perfect for me. Any ways enough dental talk, on with the card already!

This card was made with some paper scraps from K & Company and embossed it with my Cuttlebug swirls folder. I used a Hero Arts Thank You stamp. I finished it off with some brads and ribbon. Very simple and easy layout... although it took me longer than I expected, just wasn't flowing this morning:)
Have a wonderful week! Happy stamping!

Seize The Cupcake

I stamped this card with Hero Arts Cupcake set, popped up the center cupcake and added some glitter to the icing for some sparkle. The picture doesn't show it very good but the cupcakes are colored in with color pencils and blended. I embellished it with the some ribbon and a button for the cherry, oh so cute:)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day:) Until next time... happy stamping!

Happy April Fool's Day

First day of April, WOW, where did the first three months go?

This morning started out pretty much the norm... my son woke me up way to early, made my coffee, made him breakfast, started cleaning... and the list goes on. I was able to finsh my coffee but not while it was hot:)

I now have a little time so I thought I would put up a little something. I got the basic layout from the wonderful blog over at Card Positioning Systems, love that site! It didn't take too long, which was good since my son's nap was almost over:)

Playtime with my son! Hope everyone has a wonderful April Fool's Day!
